 1. I chose to look at the first grade ELA technology standards. One of the standards involves knowing how to use a variety of text features to locate important information throughout a text. Based on my current skill set, I do feel prepared to implement this standard. I feel comfortable working with basic applications and I how to use it in an efficient manner. By creating structures within text, such as glossaries or table of contents, you facilitate your students ability to process information and follow along.

2. I chose to look at the first grade lesson plan. In the lesson plan resource tab, there are many activities to incorporate and use in the classroom. I think this is an essential resource for teaching because it provides you with some sense of structure and helps you find ways to implement the learning objective into activities that the students will enjoy. You have plenty of options to explore and build off of. Each lesson plan has a tutorial to follow and learn from. Seeing what other people are doing in their classroom can inspire educators to try new strategies and approaches in their own teaching.

3. As a teacher, being a proficient internet searcher is very important. It can enhance your over all lesson plan and instructional approach. Out of all the internet searching skills that were introduced this week, I think that I will probably use advanced search the most. Advanced search allows you to narrow down your search results more effectively. An internet searching skill that I don't think was introduced this week was the ability to evaluate online sources. Being able to evaluate your sources, determining the credibility and accuracy of any websites or articles found online.

4. In recent years, the use of artificial intelligence has been increasing in educational settings. With more technological advances, students now have access to AI powered tools to enhance their learning. My initial thoughts on using AI in the classroom were mostly positive. I see it as a great resource for students to have, granting them the access to endless information and facilitating their educational journeys. AI can be used to create a personalized learning experience for each student, giving them study tools and instant feedback on assignments. However, as I think deeper into the subject, I also think AI in the classroom can create some drawbacks as well. I fear students will become to reliant on AI and steer away from traditional classroom practices that enhance students creativity and critical thinking abilities.
