  • When visiting a school website, they had the information you would expect to see displayed. There is a parent portal, a school news/update page, a calendar of school events, staff directory and more. It also has the contact information of some of the administration, making it easy for parents or students to reach out to them.   • I see myself using technology in the classroom as a way to be more efficient. There are many different tools a teacher can use. Personally, I see myself using tools like ChatGPT, google calender, and different academic enrichment games. I think these kinds of tools can help me stay organized and plan ahead. The teaching games can help me make lesson plans more fun and interactive for my students.
  • I had a good experience working on assignment 2. I actually liked the Canvas group tool, it seemed to be an efficient way to display everything we needed. I liked how you could link different pages within the canvas group and see the edits your peers make to it. The ability to organize our materials directly on one page really helped the workflow. It was an efficient way to get the assignment done.

9/5/2024      I am taking this class as part of my education minor requirements. This is my first semester taking any education classes, and I am excited to learn more about the field. From this class specifically, I hope to learn about different technological tools that I can implement in the classroom. I want to learn how to use them to my advantage and create collaborative projects for my students.       Prior to this class, I already had a pretty good background with technology. I think I acquired lots of new skills, such as user interface design, when putting together the website design. That was my first time making a website and I focused a lot on the CRAP principles. I used them as kind of an outline for how I wanted my website to look, ensuring that my design would be visually appealing and easy to navigate. It helped me determine the layout and make it accessible to everyone visiting it. I liked how you could get creative with it and make it your own. I see myself using these skills as a future educator because I can create a website to facilitate communication between parent and teachers.  QR codes can be a resourceful tool when implemented correctly.   1.  Copyright is a form of protection for an individuals work, it gives them exclusive rights to distribute it and ensures that they will receive proper credit when others use it. As a teacher, I would make sure to teach my students about copyright laws and fair use. When creating my own materials I would make sure to use public resources and properly attribute any content I get from a third-party. For students, I would encourage them to use original ideas and teach them how to properly cite other's work. I have always been aware of copyright laws and fair use, as I have always been taught about plagiarism and how to avoid it.  2.  While technology is a great tool to have and can be very beneficial to both teachers and students, it is important to acknowledge technology implementation issues that may arise.
