  • When visiting a school website, they had the information you would expect to see displayed. There is a parent portal, a school news/update page, a calendar of school events, staff directory and more. It also has the contact information of some of the administration, making it easy for parents or students to reach out to them.   • I see myself using technology in the classroom as a way to be more efficient. There are many different tools a teacher can use. Personally, I see myself using tools like ChatGPT, google calender, and different academic enrichment games. I think these kinds of tools can help me stay organized and plan ahead. The teaching games can help me make lesson plans more fun and interactive for my students.
  • I had a good experience working on assignment 2. I actually liked the Canvas group tool, it seemed to be an efficient way to display everything we needed. I liked how you could link different pages within the canvas group and see the edits your peers make to it. The ability to organize our materials directly on one page really helped the workflow. It was an efficient way to get the assignment done.

     I primarily experienced distance learning during my last two years of high school. This was during the time COVID hit and all classes had to move to online. I remember using google classroom a lot, as a way to stay organized and in contact with teachers/assignments. Zoom was another tool we used a lot. I would say both tools were effective at keeping us in contact and facilitating  communication.      Open educational resources are teaching and learning materials that are available to everyone. They are  freely accessible, openly licensed, and can be used, modified, or shared by anyone. This could be resources like textbooks, videos, or lesson plans. A resource I found was a video demonstrating different activities you can create using liquids. If I become a teacher, I think I would use data collection tools, such as Qualtrics, as a way to receive feedback from my students. I would probably use surveys as a kind of check point at the end of each quarter. This will give me insight on what my students are thinking and feeling. By choosing questions that I can tailor to assess different aspects of their experience, I’ll be able to gather meaningful feedback on what’s working and where I might improve. Questions could cover topics like understanding of course material, classroom dynamics, and overall engagement. By gathering their feedback, I would be able to adjust my approaches appropiately.
